Tea and Textiles
Tea and Textiles
Date: July 26th
Time: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Lecturer: Anne Lorentz
Much of the significance and meaning embedded into textiles has been lost, thanks in
part to the ubiquitous nature of mass production. We no longer realise the rich and
evocative narrative qualities of cloth.
We’d love you to join us for afternoon tea to hear Anne Lohrentz unravel this
fascinating subject. Anne will also discuss how her personal stories influence her
self-healing design process to create designs that express the very fabric of her
existence.
This talk will inspire you to take a fresh look at the things you make. You may like to
join an upcoming MAKING NARRATIVES WORKSHOP, where you can explore your
own storied-making process.
