Date: Saturday 18th October and Sunday, 19th October
Time: 10 am- 3 pm
This beginners workshop is a wonderful introduction to stumpwork – a highly 3- dimensional and old form of raised embroidery. You will create a beautiful wreath in the season of your choice, starting with the padded circle. It is then decorated with six different elements using simple stumpwork techniques and materials. The design measures 12cm x 12cm and is worked on a silk background (or satin for the Winter wreath).
Partial kit provided $25 - (Background, felt, painted calico, chiffon, organza, perle and wool threads, wooden beads and stumpwork wires. )
Students provide their own stranded cottons and seed beads – a detailed list will be provided. The kit is to be paid on the day to the tutor.
