Canvas work is often used to create beautiful geometric designs, but those same stitches can be used to celebrate a favourite view.
Using both crewel wool and stranded cotton to create texture. Learn how to choose stitches to best represent parts of your landscape and help give the image perspective.
Spend a day creating a unique canvas work landscape with Jo Dixey. Who will bring a selection of designs for you to use, or you can use your own design to make your piece truly one of a kind.
Requirements list:
10” embroidery hoop.
Selection of stranded cotton
Crewel wool if you have some
Book of canvas stitches if you have one
Normal sewing kit
Tapestry needles size 22
Pencil and notebook
Your own design if you wish
Jo will be providing:
I will provide a piece of 18-count canvas for $5.
The finished landscape size will fit within a 5” square.
